They way I understood the story is it goes like this: No one on the streets wanted to adopt a free black cat. The black cat then searches around the garbage can and found food but it gave it to another spotted cat. Then a girl (pressumably the white cat's owner) walked by and adopted the black cat and gave it a nice home.
